If I said “a luxurious candle”, I will bet that every single one of you will think of Diptyque. The Parisian brand has cemented itself as an unmistakable symbol of extravagance, adorning fireplace mantels, bathroom counters and bedroom vanities, as is Instagram appropriate. Retailing at £30 for the 70g and £53 for the 190g, it’s by no means a one-click spend. No doubt the reason why you are here is for research to help you decide whether you should buy the candle or not.
I won’t bore you with just stating the top notes and base notes, because unless you are a fragrance connoisseur or have excellent scent recall; it means absolutely nothing.
Here’s why you should:

Diptyque’s new candle, “Paris en Fleur”, is the perfect floral scent to transition out of the dreary winter nights to anticipating the start of spring. For me, this candle evokes the feeling of walking down a Parisian street at dusk, breathing in the honeyed, dreamy scent of blossoming flowers.
UTTERLY ROMANTIC, DELICIOUSLY SWEET AND COMPLETELY INTOXICATING.
The limited-edition candles are in an incredibly chic packaging fitting for a Parisian spring-inspired collection.
Brightly coloured rosebuds adorn the boxes, and the candles’ rose pink glass features a flourish of blossoms fashioned in an art-deco style. It’ll look just as irresistible sitting on your coffee table or in your bathroom as it smells.

“Smells like childhood.“
If you’ve never purchased a Diptyque scent before and are interested in buying your first one, I’d highly recommend “Paris en Fleur”. It is perhaps also worth noting, that I lit the candle for the first time this weekend and the quality of the waxes used in unparalleled to any other. The wax melted evenly and at a slower rate than all other brands I’ve used before.
This is my scent of 2020, and if Diptyque release a bottled fragrance of this scent, you’ll bet that I will be one of the first to click buy.
And hurry, this candle is limited edition and is already sold out on the likes of Net-A-Porter et al.
