So, we meet again.
I’m keeping it short and sweet this week. It isn’t often that you come across a brilliant artist & writer who you are inspired by. By powers of social media, I discovered Tess Guinery, author of The Apricot Memoirs and The Moonflower Monologues and by god does she have a gift with words! I’m just in complete awe of her work and could resist the purchase of both her books. I can’t wait to indulge in her poetry and zephyr laced words.
The Pursuit of Zephyr Laced Words
My pen, in constant pursuit of zephyr laced words, free falling with the ink whilst overcoming the blank white masses. Words, they pave a golden path to my “aha” moments — or to the beginnings of some. Wrapping up, summing together, tying the knot, leading home, folding the bow — a beautiful revelation luminously singing back at me, aligning with every molecule deepest in my fabrics. Poems, my resounding prayers, sung unto the heavens, never forsaking & never returning null. My breathe becomes the poem, the poem my breath, the rhythm but a prayer and the voice returning, much like a castle in the sky — hope.

I feel like I’ve have a pretty unproductive bank holiday weekend, I had plans to bake cookies, work on & complete some client projects and put some time into my revision. Instead, I cleaned my room up, put in a couple of hours into my client projects, set up my new vinyl turntable and spent the weekend in bed alternating between listening to Lana Del Ray & The Beatles and binging Netflix shows. And … that’s okay.
As easy as it is to feel like you have to be putting 100% in, all the time. Sometimes, it’s okay to take a weekend for yourself and just relax. So that’s what I’ve done, hence the shortness of this post.
But, it’s been a bit busy on the blog this week. If you’ve missed it, I posted:
